After the iPad 2018 debacle, I was interested in finding out if I could make my iPad Mini work for handwritten digital journaling without an Apple Pencil. But I couldn't find a free journal to try it out anywhere. There are tons of them on Etsy, but they're not cheap.
So I simply made my own. I am a graphic designer, after all.
After trying it out for a few days, I have to say I am very impressed with Goodnotes, even on my small iPad Mini. I use the journal to write my daily gratitude entries, as well as other notes about the day. The stylus that works best in my experience is called Bamboo Alpha - I bought mine on Amazon (see affiliated link on this page).
It was quite a long process to get this journal together, since every entry is a separate page, and every page is linked to the index. But it was an absolute labour of love, and since I'm very proud of it, I want to share it with everyone. Mind you, this is only from May 1st to December 31st of 2018... since we're kind of in the middle of the year already.
But if you want to try it too, simply click here to download the free journal. Download it, import it into Goodnotes and journal away. No strings attached, no data collected.
