Now that I'm seriously into portraits, I needed a way to make notes as to how I set up certain shots in the studio, I discovered an app called Sylights, which makes it really easy to retain your notes about the setup you used. It lets you arrange light modifiers and even subjects, and then upload an image to it so that later you can remember what you've done to get a certain result.
Here is my first try: Beauty Shot on White. I call it "Beauty Shot", because I use a beauty dish with it. The background was lit using two speedlights in strip boxes (or with flags), and the subject was lit with a beauty dish and a reflector underneath (both slanted about 45 degrees pointing towards the subject).

Please note that in the original setup I did not use a hairlight, but I think it would have been better, so I added it in the diagram. However, with hairlights, less is often more, so keep that in mind.
