The Standbagger Grab 'n Go

Excuse the blurry picture. It's the only one I could snap showing my camera shy "assistant".

If you know me, you know that I research the hell out of every purchase I make. I weigh the pros and cons, I research prices, read the internet up and down for reviews and then purchase the item that comes closest to meeting my expectations.

I've been looking for a light stand bag for quite some time now. Ebay has tons of them, Adorama, B&H, Amazon, you name it. I didn't want to spend more on the bags than on the light stands, and I wanted a bag that would fit my speedlights as well. And product manufactured in North America would be a bonus.

Well, Standbagger fit my needs. The Grab 'n Go fits two average light stands, two umbrellas and two speedlights. The inside of the bag is lined with a plastic material to give it durability, the bottom is padded, and so are the pockets for the flashes. Everything fits with little room to spare, in a nice, compact package made in the USA. It looks like it can hold up for some time to come, and I'm really glad I found it.

There are only two points I would improve:

  1. Enlarge the slide-pocket for the name tag so that I can fit business cards
  2. Add a grab handle, or make the shoulder strap adjustable so that it can be shortened to be a grab handle.

These are only minor complaints which I can definitively live with. For the amount of money I spent, I don't think I could buy a better bag. Can't wait for my next portrait shoot to try it out.
